Charnwood Bay 5 / Bay 5GT Inset Convector

5kW and 81% Efficiency

Charnwood have been very clever with their new Bay 5 (and Bay 5GT) convector inset stove design – actually, we've come to expect nothing less from them. The Bay 5 is stylishly different looking from every other inset available (but still a Charnwood), it has scale and presence but with a practical and popular 5.0kW output and if you really insist on burning fossil fuels you've got a rare multi fuel option with Charnwood's renowned riddling grate. You can also fit it within a traditional (non-combustible) fire surround or use it contemporary-style on a plain wall. Importantly, and this must be a first for any British stove manufacturer, the Bay 5GT has electric fan-assisted heat distribution making it the ideal inset choice for an open plan living space. The Charnwood Bay 5 inset also features clean burn combustion technology for added efficiency (and Defra Approval), an effective airwash system for clear glass and user-friendly single control fixed settings for the combustion air balance. It also takes much bigger than average logs at nearly half a meter long (480mm / 19"). In short, the convector inset stove has just been brilliantly reinvented in Britain by Charnwood.

We bought the wood burning model and we are very satisfied. It is easy to control, burns exceptionally well and is very fuel efficient. In addition, it looks absolutely stunning! Very happy with the purchase!
